Thank You from the New Owners!

Dear friends, colleagues, and guests,

outhouse maintenance in alaskaIn this season of gratitude, we are reflecting on all the things that made this summer extra special! This was a transition year for St. Elias Alpine Guides and Copper Oar Rafting and the first year for our new ownership team, Anya, Bryan, and Cody.

We extend our thanks to the previous owners, Wayne and Gaia, who developed SEAG into the incredible company it is today. We have some big shoes to fill, and appreciated their help in “showing us the ropes.”

The community of McCarthy and Kennecott have also welcomed us warmly into their tightly knit ranks, and we appreciate their friendliness and support. We’d also like to thank the greater Alaska community and our business partners, old and new, for working with us this summer and sending great adventurers our way!

Additionally, we can’t forget to highlight our guides! None of this would be possible without their enthusiasm, adventurous spirit, and love of our incredible “office” – Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Thank you so much for working hard, being dedicated stewards of our environment, and sharing your enthusiasm for this special place with our guests!

And finally, we’d like to thank our amazing guests and clients! It’s not easy to get out to McCarthy, and we appreciate your dedication to see the true Alaska wilderness! We value your sense of adventure, and willingness to take on physical and mental challenges to see and experience more. Your excitement and enthusiasm for all things nature is contagious and the reason we run our trips. Thank you so much for taking the path less traveled and sharing in the wonder of the Wrangells!
