ABOUT US
Why SEAG?
Our Legacy
St. Elias Alpine Guides is the oldest continuously operating business in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Since 1978, we have guided thousands of adventures on successful trips through this very special part of the Alaskan wilderness; even before it became a National Park in 1980! Due to the vastness of this National Park (13.2 million acres!) we are still expertly exploring uncharted terrain and taking you along with us for these incredible journeys.
Over the decades of guiding in the Alaskan wilderness, we have passed down our guiding expertise from one generation to the next. Starting with just a few of us who had the grit and knowledge to navigate this kind of country, there are now upwards of 45 expertly trained guides here at St. Elias Alpine Guides. Our love for this part of the world grows every year and we love sharing that passion with future guides and adventurers like you!
Looking Forward
Alaska is truly one of the last wild places on planet earth. To preserve this wilderness, we want to connect and inspire as many people as possible to this National Park through a custom-tailored adventure. That is why it is our mission to empower adventurers to experience their trip of a lifetime. We are continuously making adventuring in Alaska more accessible by offering a wider variety of trips and customizing them to each individual and group. On top of that, we are continuing to expand our course offerings to transfer our knowledge and expertise to adventurers at all skill levels.
