Serves: 1 person
Ingredients:
- 1 cup instant rice
- ⅓ cup assorted freeze dried vegetables
- ¼ cup freeze dried meat or TVP
- ¼ stick butter
- Fried rice seasoning packet
- Soy sauce (small container)
- Sriracha packets
Optional:
- 1 egg or egg powder
- Turn this into yellow curry fried rice by adding yellow curry powder
- Hawaiian style with peas, carrots, onions, spam, and pineapple
Directions:
- If using eggs, cook separately in a small pot with butter.
- In a large pot, rehydrate rice, vegetables, and protein.
- Cook until fully rehydrated (veggies and meat may take longer).
- Drain excess water if needed.
- Add butter, eggs, and seasoning.
- Stir well and enjoy your homemade backpacking meal.
