Multi-Day Trip Package Upgrade

Let’s make trip planning easy!​

Most of our multi-day backcountry trips (backpacking, basecamping, rafting, etc.) are offered with a Trip Package upgrade. Supplement your multi-day trip with other activities and let us take care of the logistics!

The Trip Package service is $50 per person.

 

What’s included?

  • Transportation to and from McCarthy/Kennecott
  • Lodging in McCarthy/Kennecott before and after your trip

 

You’ll be responsible for lodging in Anchorage or any other areas you travel to in Alaska, food while traveling (we’ll take care of food during your multi-day trip), activities in other areas of Alaska and any other transportation needs during your Alaska trip.

 

Multi-Day Trip Package Process

  • Sign up for a Multi-Day Trip and select the Trip Package Upgrade – this will require putting down a larger deposit than if you book just the trip itself
  • You’ll get an email within a few days of signing up with a prompt to start planning your trip
  • We’ll stay in touch to let you know when everything is confirmed or if any changes need to be made

 

At the 30-day mark, we’ll collect your final payment and present you with a Detailed Itinerary that will include all the important details of who to meet, where, and when.

St. Elias National Park is spectacular, and this was a fantastic group to lead our exploration of it! From the first point of contact to our departure at the end of the trip, at every step they were friendly, professional, and reassuring that we would not be eaten by bears. They designed a trip ... that perfectly matched our level of experience and adventure, and we had a blast hiking around the basin, crossing glaciers, and eating incredibly good food in the backcountry! Special shoutout to our guide Michael Hampton, who immediately felt like one of our crew and was a great hang for four days.

SEAG is a very genuine welcoming crew, with your best interest at heart. I just returned from a 9 day mountaineering trip on a glacier. The care and personal attention by the staff created a lot of confidence that the trip was going to go well, and boy did it. This trip exceeded my ... expectations. Our guides were experienced, personable, and could teach very well. SEAG offers a variety of excursions and I'd be confident in doing any of them with their guides. The office staff/ owners were very flexible, and creative given all the obstacles of Covid-19, but they were very detailed oriented and safety conscious. Great job guys thank you.

We had started working on our 10 day mountaineering trip into the Wrangell St Elias range since last summer. Anya is an excellent communicator and through calls and much email she made it happen, Covid complications notwithstanding. The attention to detail was astonishing: I had mentioned that we like a little whisky after a ... hard (or a not so hard) day on the ice. To my great surprise and much joy, Dave, our lead guide pulled out a bottle of single malt in the kitchen tent one evening! And, on top of that, my semi-joking mention of liking African coffee beans ended up as real in our generous French press every morning!! I should also mention the birthday cheese cake for my son's 23rd, the excellent pizza and the incomparable Denali sandwiches! I haven't said anything about our beautiful perch on a stretch of glacier between the Bagley Icefield and the Jefferies Glacier - unexplored, unclimbed, unspoiled - we felt so privileged to be there. Every day was different; we climbed to amazing views of Mt Logan, we practiced self arrest, crevasse rescue, finding buried avalanche transceivers, we ice climbed, rappelled, did lots of French technique (ooh-la-la), and learned the different meanings of High and Low Napoleon - check the SEAG video on Kiwi coils for one meaning. A final word on the sauna we had when we returned to the Power House - THAT'S the way to end a trip!! So thanks to our guides, Dave and Harrison for making the learning and climbing so much fun, and to Anya and Bryan for getting us there! I'll be back, just try and stop me.

We had another unforgettable and fabulous trip with SEAG. After an enjoyable stay at the unique Devil's Mountain Lodge, we were dropped off by bush plane with our guide, and had the chance to thoroughly explore a high plateau right under spectacular Mount Jarvis. Our days included climbing down to a glacier, moving camp, ... and taking amazing hikes to experience the scenery and wildlife in this spectacularly beautiful place. We ate ridiculously well every day, and our professional and knowledgeable guide took fabulous care of us in other ways as well, teaching us various climbing skills and letting us run wild. After our backpacking visit to the plateau we had a couple more days at the Lodge, and enjoyed meeting many interesting people there, and feasting on moose. We were so sad to return to "civilization"!
