We got a trip dispatch from our Lead Guide Scott and our Mt. St. Elias team this evening! They have been making steady progress despite double and sometimes even triple-hauling their gear up to the area around “The Hump” over the last 5 days. Their weather forecast continues to look decent but mixed, and they plan to set an “advance base camp” near Boundary Peak 12,911 before attempting to climb the Mira Face to the summit ridge. Fingers crossed they get a shot to make the technical climb and then head for the summit sometime next week! We will keep you posted!
