| The old Bremner Gold Mine Site is a great area to base an Alaska hiking and trekking adventure. As with Kennecott, Alaska exploration has revolved around minerals, and this site was developed in the 30’s by the Ramer brothers. It’s a great base in the high alpine. Trekking the wide valleys, exploring old mining ruins, long ridgeline treks and abundant wildflowers make this Alaska hiking trip great for all ages and abilities. |

The old mining camp makes this Alaska hiking trip unique. Exploring
the old ruins is fascinating, and if the weather turns bad, we can
take
shelter in the cabins recently restored by the National Park Service.

Bremner is an excellent opportunity for high alpine Alaska
trekking, exploring the largest national park in Alaska, and
a great time for a family or couple to get away from it all.

Come experience the wonders of Alaska. Hiking these broad valleys and alpine ridges brings a new perspective and incredible feelings of exhilaration.

Nature abounds in these lush valleys. Although never a guarantee, the abundant wildlife in the area makes sightings much more common.

Grizzly bears are often spotted lumbering near a creek, gathering
up wild berries. Primarily herbivores, grizzly bears can eat as
many as 100,000 berries in a single day!

The beauty of Bremner is sublime. Trekking in the lush
alpine of Alaska, hiking through fields of wildflowers, hopping
over babbling brooks or crystal clear water.

Although Kennecott, Alaska was a booming mine town, the boys at Bremner had some amazing logistics to contend with in getting this truck to their site.

Your guide will share the rich history of this intriguing mining
camp and the people that made it possible. It’s a wondrous site
in the middle of such a vast wilderness.

We may camp near some of the small lakes that dot the surrounding ridgelines. Only the brave may choose to bathe in these icy waters.

The ridgelines make for fantastic hiking. Alaska tundra is a soft
and forgiving carpet to trek on and explore beautiful glacial cirques.

When in season, wild blueberries are sweet and tasty. A perfect
trail snack, fun to gather, and fantastic in pancakes!

The bush flight from Kennecott Alaska and back is one
of
many highlights on this inspired Alaska hiking and trekking trip.
