Anna comes to us from the beautiful Sunshine State, which probably explains her bubbly and always sunny disposition. She knows no stranger and greets everyone with a smile.
Growing up in Florida, it’s no surprise that her first love is the water. She could swim well before she even learned to walk (seriously). Anna enjoys freediving, scuba diving, and surfing. After logging countless hours below sea level, she grew curious about the terrains above sea level she had yet to really explore. This opened up a whole new world for her and led her from the flatlands of Florida to the Appalachians, then out west to the Rockies and Cascades, and now the Wrangells. She is constantly finding herself awestruck by the power and majesty of mountains. In 2017, she climbed Mt. Rainier and raised money for Washington’s National Park Fund as a selected member of REI’s Climb for a Cause team.
Anna also loves to travel every opportunity she gets. This coupled with her sense of adventure has led her to dive, climb, and trek in countries all around the world including Cuba, Myanmar, the Philippines, Belize, and Guatemala.
Anna is a Wilderness First Responder, Naturalist, REI Outdoor School Instructor, Florida State University alum, and most notably according to her… the most die-hard FSU fan on the planet (Go Noles!)
In short, Anna is happiest above or below sea level, and you’ll find her enthusiasm for the great outdoors infectious!
