Known for her southern sass, love of board games, and her ability to move large rocks, Sam has been a joy to work with these past two years, and we’re looking forward to many more! She came to us in 2018, and quickly proved her abilities in both the front office and out on the glacier!
Originally from Florida (not only the state in the far opposite corner of the country, but also one with a very different definition of “mountain,”) she left home after college and signed up for a summer long stint of trail work in the Ansel Adams Wilderness of California (leading to her ability to move large rocks). Since then, she hasn’t looked back, and has worked at a zoo in Seattle, for a park in Southern California, and as a copywriter in Kansas City. Talk about a varied background! We’re happy that she decided to head to Alaska and explore the Wrangells – it sure has been a good fit!
When she’s not working or out on an adventure, she enjoys reading, playing board games, and getting a good workout in.
