Alaska Backpacking & Hiking Trips

Backpacking in Alaska For 35 years St Elias Alpine Guides has been leading backpacking trips in Alaska’s Wrangell St Elias National Park, with over 13 million acres of adventure! Backpacking in Alaska’s pristine wilderness is like stepping back in time; to a place many people think exists only in our past.

Our back-country backpack trips explore remote regions, most rarely visited; where the land is young, the mountains still grumble upwards, glaciers actively sculpt the rock faces, and tundra grabs a tentative hold on new soil – this is quintessential Alaskan wilderness adventure.

Our guides are professional and personable and will enthusiastically share their love and knowledge of this spectacular landscape with you. Exploring Alaska on foot with St. Elias Alpine Guides is always a fantastic adventure!
