Matt is perhaps one of the most all around competent and solid characters you will ever meet. He's just one of those guys that makes you trust him, and for good reason. He's also fun, funny and has a passion for the outdoors that is entirely contagious.

When Matt's not out on the trail or on the end of a rope, he enjoys skiing with his dog, hiking with his dog, camping with his dog, BBQing tri-tip with his dog and drinking Sierra Nevadas with his dog. He is married to his beautiful wife, Amber (see photo), who makes him very happy.
