Julia
|
Julia is a native of the California who has wandered her way north to Alaska. After guiding on the Kern and other rivers throughout California for the last 7 years, Julia is an accomplished guide who truly feels at home on the river, regardless of what part of the world she's in! Julia will be graduating shortly with a degree in Civil Engineering from California State University Chico, which gives her a special knack for explaining the inner workings and structure of the historic Kennicott Copper Mill. Add glacier hiking to the mix and you have a truly well-rounded and happy guide! Julia's claim to fame is her amazing ability to stick an Oreo to her forehead and, using only the muscles in her face, get it into her mouth and eat it! Just try it. It's not as easy as it sounds... Julia spends her free time rafting, rock climbing, hiking, playing with her cat “Quatro,” or dominating in a feisty round of dominos or cribbage. She is friendly and approachable to all, and always answers questions with her signature broad smile. Look for her on the ice or on the river! |
