Bennett
|
Soft-spoken and gentle, Bennett is the ultimate professional in everything he does, especially when it comes to your adventure of a life-time. He came to us just out of college at SUNY Potsdam in upstate New York, but his maturity and attitude are far beyond his years. In his college wilderness leadership program, Bennett gained experience leading wilderness based trips (ok, as "wildernessy" as one can get on the east coast!), including rock climbing, ice climbing, backpacking and winter camping. He also enjoyed personal winter trips in the Adirondacks and White Mountains. In 2010, he created and led a new backpacking program for senior boy scouts in the Sierras, and before joining us in 2011, he made a stop in California to train the next leaders to carry on his legacy there. Ben is an avid climber, and has found his way to peaks and craigs in the Adirondacks, Whites, Colorado Rockies, High Sierras, Cascades and now the Wrangells. He is passionate about climbing ice and big mountains, and plans to get his Avalanche levels I&II during winter 2011-12 as well as working as associate faculty member at his alma mater and climbing in South America. Bennett is also a Wilderness First Responder and Leave No Trace Master Educator. Oh yeah, and ladies... think tall and handsome with the most amazing deep voice you have ever heard! |
