Spotlight on Adventure!

Glacier and Tundra Exploration with guide Jeremy Pataky
August 18-22, 2008

“One of the greatest and most diverse routes in the park is right in our own valley — in August, four clients and I flew to the Fosse, on the west side of the Kennicott Glacier, and spent five days walking back to gtpataky08 break Spotlight on Adventure!Kennecott. We traversed the Kennicott, Gates, and Root Glaciers, and hiked up and over Donoho saddle. We camped down low on land right next to glaciers, up high on an alpine bench overlooking the valley, and on glacier ice, and we had a wonderful trip. After our four-night trip, Grace and Bill and I returned to the Root Glacier to spend a full day ice climbing together, and we continued to enjoy meals and one another’s company until the crew had to head home. The trip was a refreshing excursion into some incredibly beautiful terrain, as well as an opportunity to connect with wonderful people.”
